The 3rd annual USTE event was another great success. JConcepts was on hand and set up for the 2019 Ultimate Scale Truck Expo. The brain child of Corey Verne and Rob Mathews, this annual event brings in the top scale builders and manufactures from around the world. Months go into building the various scale trails and it shows. With special trails carved into the sides of hills, details like tire treads through the grass and scale bridges makes hanging out in the woods an amazing time. This year there were additional events taking place along side builder classes and the awesome trails. A vintage buggy track was built in the center of vendor row and had some exciting action with the old school buggies and trucks. Monster Trucks then took over the course and tore things up. Mega trucks also had a special course set up and there was a great turnout of mud trucks willing to get dirty. JConcepts along with Mike Lohmann from Mike's RC World outfitted two Axial SMT10's with bodies and tires along with upgraded drivetrain. Attendees could then sign up to race the two trucks, the top two finishers would take home the trucks. To cap off the event on Sunday, the basher park was open for the bigger and faster trucks to attempt the longest jump and the highest jump, they did not disappoint. 2019 was another success for the USTE and we look forward to being back in 2020 for another weekend at Cedar Lakes Woods and Gardens located in Williston, Florida. Don't miss it!
Hosted at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex, Motorama isn’t your ordinary 1/8th and 1/10th scale event, but is actually part of a huge motorsport expo that incorporates ArenaCross racing, Car show, Go Kart racing, Quarter Midget racing, Scaling, Speed, show and beauty pageant all in one.
When Ryan Anderson is looking for the toughest, baddest RC car for his 4 year old son, he knows who to call. Race Anderson has wanted a "Bog Hog C Car" for some time now, but it couldn't be just an off the shelf regular old RC car it had to be Bad To The Bone. Fred Reep along with help from our industry contacts had 2 months to build a one off Bog Hog RC truck that would stand up to any punishment a 4 year old could deal it. It started as a regular chassis Traxxas Slash 4x4, throw in the JConcepts suspension conversion, Spektrum radio, Tekin power and MIP upgrades to handle all that power and you have one bad Bog Hog.
2018 kicked off a brand new event for JConcepts that we’re super excited about and for the first time ever, the JConcepts King of the Monster Trucks was held in Fenton, Missouri where some of the best Monster Truck racers and builders gathered on October 6th – 7th, 2018 for the ultimate Monster Truck showdown…. King of the Monster Trucks!
Our primary goal in helping to construct this event is to build a national caliber Monster Truck competition featuring the best in the business doing what they love. The King of the Monster Trucks event emphasized the excitement of creation, the adrenaline of racing, fueled by the awesome culture and genuine love for monster trucks. If you thought you can build custom RC monster trucks, think again. Race 1/10th scale at the track and think you’re fast? Try heads-up racing going 1 on 1 versus the competition in bracket-style racing. Lose once, you’re out!
