Over the weekend of the 23^rd and 24^th of September, The BJ4 WE was taken to its third consecutive 4wd Modified title at the 2006 New South Wales State Titles. Ari Bakla piloted his BJ4 WE to victory from 4^th on the grid, in a field with some of the hottest competition ever seen in offroad in Australia. Josh Pain looked like the early favorite with his BJ4 after dominating the 4wd Mod class at the Challenge Cup. He took and an easy TQ early in qualifying, only to lose it in round three. Pain was on track to retake TQ in the final round until throwing a wind. From second on the grid Pain endured a rough series of finals, but it was Bakla who prevailed, to take the win in A2 and A3 and the title. Jason Dyckhoff piloted his BJ4 WE to 5^th overall. With an ever increasing presence on Australian race tracks, the BJ4 WE is looking good for an Australian National Championship in 2007.
