Silencing your critics is perhaps the most satisfying accomplishment for anyone. Ryan Maifield together with JConcepts has silenced the critics and proved once again that JConcepts is the brand to trust. In the largest event of the year and with a world wide audience online, Ryan Maifield, driving his Associated RC8, completely outfitted with JConcepts accessories dominated in a field of world class competitors and world champions alike. In what was originally going to be a debut race for the new Hi-Flow RC8 body turned into a breakthrough performance for the newly released Sevens racing tire.
With 2 laps to go Ryan made a spectacular pass on the leader coming down the difficult back stretch leading into a 180 degree turn. Close friend and pitman Jake Thayer and Richard “The King” Saxton cheered as Ryan crossed the finish line completing one of the most exciting and biggest races of his career.
Ryan had this to say about the victory - “I have never been that excited after a race. I really couldn’t control the emotion as I crossed the finish line but the way things worked out it made the victory just that much sweeter. The Sevens felt so good in the main and they actually got better toward the end of the race which is when my car and my driving really came alive. I trust the JConcepts products, you can believe it! “
The Cross Hairs have taken the 1/8th truck class by storm. The original low profile, narrow carcass, light weight tire and insert design developed by JConcepts needs no modification or bandages. Cross Hairs are the most durable, complete and nimble 1/8th truck tires on the market giving JConcepts a tire package unlike anything else on the market.
Proving the competitiveness of the Cross Hairs, 12 year old Tanner Denney made his mark on the nitro community by taking a win in the Open 1/8th truck class. Tanner, an Arizona local, and relative newcomer to R/C racing, fought hard in both the Open truck and buggy class but it was the truck class where Tanner enjoyed his first success. Pressure did not affect Tanner’s driving as the main came down to the final moments and Tanner overtook the leader on the final lap to secure the victory for JConcepts.
Speaking with Tanner about the main he had this to say – “It was a lot of fun. Having a flameout during the race made me really nervous but my dad and pit crew kept me calm and I was able to relax just enough to drive my best toward the end. I have almost all of the tread left on my tires after the long main. I don’t know what else to say about the Cross Hairs, they are just the best tires out right now for a truggy.”
