JConcepts designer, Fred Reep, has been involved in R/C since the late 70’s. Fred developed a passion for building, customizing and racing R/C cars and trucks. Early beginnings for Fred included building R/C scale model boats with his father. In the late 80’s, Fred used his R/C building talents for high school class projects in film and physics classes. Fred’s competitive side kicked in and he started racing his Losi JRXT and Associated RC10 at local R/C tracks in New York. One of his first jobs was with Latest Hobbies and Raceway. He was sponsored by a local motor and battery company during the 90’s.
In 2003, Fred developed an R/C Monster Truck racing company, which held R/C Monster truck races around Florida. He created a monster truck World Finals event at the famous home of Grave Digger, Diggers Dungeon. Fred directed the R/C Monster Truck World finals in 2006, 2007 under the R/C Monster Motorsports banner.
In 2007, Fred met JConcepts owner Jason Ruona. Fred and Jason first worked together on local R/C programs in Florida and performed half time programs with R/C’s at Full Scale Monster Truck shows. Fred joined the JConcepts family in 2011 and develops and designs high performance R/C racing parts for JConcepts, further enhancing the R/C racing experience for racers around the world.
